ABOUT US
HEALTH AND
SUSTAINABILITY
ONE SIP AT THE TIME

Sustainably sourced
from the first drop

Aqua Nobel water is sourced from a natural spring located
below the beautiful plains of southern Sweden. Our spring
is located at a depth of 105m (330ft). For close to 100 years,
the water travels from the surface, through sandstone,
moraine, slate and gneiss before it finally reaches the
source. This process adds valuable minerals and nutrients
as well as providing a pH of 8.2.

Besides caring for the environment, we’re also extremely
dedicated to protecting the integrity of the spring. We work
with local hydrologists to ensure we do not disrupt the
structure of the spring and the water it produces.

The water is drained via a completely antiseptic system
to avoid any contact with potential outside contaminants.
Then, it’s simply ran through a natural sand filter before it
finally reaches the carton.

We only pull a fraction of our maximum allowance to make
sure we don’t affect the overall levels in the spring, and the
water has a natural pH of 8.2.

PEOPLE HAVE ENJOYED OUR AMAZING
WATER FOR ALMOST A CENTURY

Our unique enhanced water has been enjoyed by locals for a long time, some stories date back nearly a century.
Rumors say people travelled to the area to collect the water for all its perceived health benefits.

1964

The first commercial
borehole was drilled
into the deeper parts
of the spring by the
local farmer.

2015

Aqua Nobel was formed
and purchased the rights
to the unique spring.

2015-2018

During its first few years, Aqua Nobel
produced sparkling water in PET,
glass and bag-in-box packaging.
During these years our water was
awarded multiple times.

2018-2020

During 2018, a decision to move towards a
more sustainable solution was taken,
which led to the installation of Tetra Pak’s
most innovative packaging solution - Tetra
Prisma Dream cap.

Between 2018 and
2020, Aqua Nobel
switch all its water
production from
PET to packages made
of carton from Tetra Pak.

2021

Aqua Nobel removes 100%
of its plastic bottles from
the lineup and now
exclusively produces water
in carton packages called Tetra Prisma® Aseptic.

2022

Aqua Nobel unveils a new
packaging design. Our goal
is to have a carton made
up by 100% renewable material
by 2025, up from the 76%
where we are today.

100% earth-friendly packaging by 2025

Our goal is to package our water in a carton made with 100% renewable material by 2025.
Since 2019, we have gone from 67 to 76% and we will not stop until we reach our 100%!

FORESTS

The wood fiber or paper that we use
to create our cartons comes from
forests that have met rigorous
standards in forest management.

PLANT-BASED PLASTIC

To reduce our carbon footprint, we made
a choice to use plastic derived from
plants. The majority of our plastic comes
from organically grown sugarcane.

RECYCLING

Our carton is made of high-quality,
strong paper fibers that can be
recycled several times.
